Amateur rules and guidelines will be implemented but stated rules herewith will supersede any conflict in the Amateur rules.
BayHoops reserve the rights to ban/disqualify players or teams for misbehavior, unsportsmanlike attitude, and failure to adhere gyms guideline and policies (specific gym policies where we conduct or host basketball games like league, tournament or pickup games.)
Respect for everyone is expected. Being disrespectful is a ground for getting banned from any BayHoops future activities.
A player needs to play 2 regular season games to be eligible to play in the Post Season. Considerations are to made in cases of defaulted games, family emergencies, and injuries.
Teams can advance the ball when a timeout is called. (3 timeouts in a game regardless of period).
The organizer can be a temp sub in a team to avoid or minimize forfeited games.
A technical foul can be called for any unsportsmanlike conduct. Ejection from the game is called out if a player is called for a 2nd technical foul.
Stop clock on dead ball situations will be implemented in the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half. Lead => 15.
Regular Season Shot Clock will be implemented on the last 2 minutes (24 seconds) of the 2nd half.
Post Season Shot Clock will be implemented on the last 6 minutes (24 seconds) of the 2nd half. In the absence of shot clock due to the gym’s limitation of not having the shot clock device functioning, the referees will use their best judgement if a player/team is/are intentionally not making a play to score with the purpose of just running the clock to their advantage.
